A public maintenance promise

A directory this large is not a one-and-done publishing stunt. This is the working plan for keeping DriverReady accurate and building free Canadian practice tests without borrowing secret questions from someone’s cousin’s group chat.

Current auditable coverage

What is complete—and what is still growing

Every listing has live research paths. Editorial summaries appear only after an exact-location match or a clearly disclosed brand-level match; a lower honest number beats a suspiciously perfect one.

1,472 unique school pages

Reconciled from 1,473 official rows and organized under 218 crawlable city hubs.

202 school summaries

292 dated source notes; remaining pages retain direct research links and a clear no-summary state.

54 of 92 centre summaries

72 dated source notes. All 56 full-time centres and 36 travel points were searched individually. Eight full-time centres and 30 travel points remain source-links-only rather than borrowing nearby reports.

Directory and editorial plan

How the Ontario library stays trustworthy

Official sources control rules and status. Community reports help us find recurring confusion, but each anecdote remains clearly labelled and linked.

Now

The full-time-centre and travel-point sweeps are complete. Refresh source-links-only pages when exact evidence appears, then deepen high-impression school and centre pages.

Weekly

Review search performance, broken outbound links, changed official pages and reader-submitted corrections. Promote high-impression questions into deeper guides.

Monthly

Recheck approval lists, centre services, handbook revisions and the oldest community summaries. Retire claims that can no longer be supported.

Quarterly

Audit a sample of school and centre pages for branch matching, source balance, accessibility, schema and stale language.

Publishing guardrails
  • Never invent a review summary or silently merge different branches.
  • Summarize themes in our own words and link the full source.
  • Never publish names of individual instructors in a negative claim without a strong public-interest reason and careful verification.
  • Date time-sensitive evidence and distinguish official rules from learner anecdotes.
  • Correct factual errors promptly and preserve a review trail.

Free Canada practice-test plan

Thirteen jurisdictions, one fair learning model

The product will use original questions derived from current official handbooks—not copied exam banks, leaked questions or misleading claims that a quiz is the real test.

1 · Foundation

One original, source-cited question model; handbook-version tracking; explanations for every answer; accessible mobile test flow; no sign-in required.

2 · First launch

Ontario G1, British Columbia L, Alberta Class 7 and Québec Class 5 knowledge practice, with English and French where reviewed official material supports both.

3 · Next provinces

Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, followed by Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island.

4 · Territories

Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, adapted to each official handbook and local licensing path.

Every question needs

A jurisdiction, topic, handbook edition, source URL or page reference, correct answer, plausible distractors, plain-language rationale, reviewer and revision status.

The learner gets

Unlimited free practice, randomized tests, explanations after answering, weak-topic review, local progress storage and a clear link back to the official source.

Current means maintained

Monthly source checks, handbook-change alerts, dated content releases and immediate retirement of a question when the underlying rule is uncertain.
