Are one-hour or two-hour driving lessons better?

Short answer

Two-hour lessons provide time to reach varied roads and repeat skills, but fatigue can reduce learning. One-hour lessons can be sharper and easier to schedule, especially early on.

Make it practical

What to do

Ask whether pickup and instructor-driving time count against the lesson. Choose the length that leaves you alert enough to learn for the entire session.

Easy to miss

The common trap

Paying for two hours when forty minutes disappears in pickup traffic and another forty in mental fog.

Turn knowledge into a habit

How to practise it

Ask the same written questions of two or three approved providers. Comparable answers reveal far more than a star score floating without context.

When a rule, road sign or examiner instruction conflicts with an internet tip, use the official rule and the safe decision. The internet has many talents; wearing a reflective examiner vest is not one of them.
