Parallel parking

Set up close and parallel, move slowly, scan all around and use repeatable reference points that fit your vehicle. A safe correction is better than striking a curb or rushing.

Three-point turn

Choose a legal location with clear sight lines. Signal, check all directions before each movement, avoid driveways and keep the car under slow control.

Roadside and hill parking

Stop reasonably close and parallel to the curb, secure the vehicle, and know the wheel direction for uphill and downhill parking. Recheck traffic and your blind spot before leaving the curb.

Use the official rule for the final word.
