Make test day familiar

Use the same car, shoes, seat setup and pre-drive routine you practised with. Drive near the centre at different times, but never memorize a route at the expense of general skill.

During the test

If an instruction is unclear, ask the examiner to repeat it. Missing a turn is safer than making a sudden manoeuvre. After a small mistake, use one slow breath and return attention to the next traffic decision.

Book for readiness, not relief

A near-term date can feel reassuring, but repeated independent mock drives are a better signal than nerves alone.

Use the official rule for the final word.
