Questions / Booking and test day
Answer first · reviewed August 2026
How do I book an Ontario road test?
Eligible applicants can book through DriveTest online, by phone or at a centre. Use the official booking system; the Ministry and DriveTest warn against services that promise special access or a guaranteed pass.
Make it practical
What to do
Have your licence details, preferred test class, location flexibility and payment method ready. Save the official confirmation.
Easy to miss
The common trap
Paying an unofficial booking reseller more than the posted fee because its website looks urgent.
Turn knowledge into a habit
How to practise it
Rehearse the logistics once: route to the centre, check-in information, vehicle controls and the backup plan if the test cannot proceed.
When a rule, road sign or examiner instruction conflicts with an internet tip, use the official rule and the safe decision. The internet has many talents; wearing a reflective examiner vest is not one of them.
